Walking Mechanism

Based on a mechanism by Theo Jansen, I designed a construction that changes rotary motion into seemingly organic steps of movement. I built two prototypes for this, one with laser cutting the other one with 3d-printing technologies. Even though I could prove the basic mechanism to work, I never found time to attach a motor to this and get the creature to walk around on its own. However the project found great response on the platform thingiverse.com and has probably been taken further by other builders since then.
